Fourth of July

I had such fun taking pictures of the fireworks this year. It was my first effort shooting at night in manual and I had no idea how they'd turn out. While I'd have preferred a different lens, one that wasn't fixed for starters, I was still pleasantly surprised with how these came out.

I edited them a bit in LR, just for fun, mostly using Sarah Ji's Meadow. Who knew it would work for night shots?

  1. The first one is pretty but I like the 5th one down because it's 1) pink and 2) has the neat bulb effect on the lights. Since we didn't get to see fireworks this year, I'm thankful I could at least enjoy a virtual show here. ;-)

  2. I'm so impressed!! I love them all, but #918 is my fave, I think. I loved your editing. I'm inspired to try a little harder with my fireworks pics...

Loved the colors, too. I'll have to give them a spin in Lightroom, too!
